She understands the importance of employee recognition and fostering a positive workplace culture. Since incorporating GroupGreeting into their celebrations, her team has found an easy and meaningful way to acknowledge milestones and strengthen connections. Rebecca shares how thoughtful recognition helps create an engaging and supportive work environment at Option Care Health.
How does your organization celebrate major milestones like work anniversaries, promotions, or team successes?
We celebrate these through distributing GroupGreeting cards as well as we have an Anniversary Bonus Program and monthly posts being made recognizing Service Awards/Milestone Anniversaries every month on our internal communications platform.
What’s a small but powerful way your team fosters appreciation in the workplace?
Creating a positive culture where team members feel valued and recognized is key to our success. A few ways Option Care Health has done this is through peer-to-peer recognition on our internal platform as well as creating GroupGreeting cards.
How do small gestures, like sending a GroupGreeting card, contribute to building a positive workplace culture?
It really fosters greater engagement amongst the team, which directly impacts our mission of One Team One Goal. Our team members feel valued and recognized for their success and achievements.
What other approaches does your organization take for employee recognition besides using digital cards?
We incorporate many aspects of employee recognition into our OCH culture. This is done not only through our peer to peer recognitions we host on our internal platform for all levels of the organization to view, but we also have a quarterly Hope Award program which recognizes outstanding team members for their exceptional performance and alignment with company values. We also promote social recognition by publicly acknowledging employees on our external social media platforms and highlighting their journeys here at Option Care.
Do you incorporate peer-to-peer recognition in your programs, or is it mostly led by management?
Yes, we incorporate this into our daily life here at Option Care Health and encourage participation in our recognition on our internal platform and send reminders to do this through our monthly “Pulse” newsletters we electronically distribute. Peer-to-peer recognition as well as leader recognition on our internal communication platform allows us to boost morale, reinforce quality performance and build positive relationships. We are one team with one goal and this organization feels we should celebrate each other’s hard work, success and achievements.
How do you measure the success of your employee recognition programs?
We align our recognition efforts with our company values and culture and then have our employees complete an engagement survey to measure their feedback. We also monitor how often employees recognize each other on our peer recognition platform and see how this may directly correlate with retention.
How do you think tools like GroupGreeting contribute to a positive employee experience?
GroupGreeting cards allow us the opportunity to personalize celebrations of each individual employee. Additionally, these small acts of appreciation have strengthened connections between team members, their leadership, and their peers.
